24.1 VV has the authority to approve and permit all team uniforms for use in the Victorian Volleyball League competition. VV approval is required where a Club intends to change its Team/s uniform between or during Victorian Volleyball League seasons.
24.2 All Club uniforms must be registered with VV. Clubs may have more than one type of uniform colour and style combination. The uniform includes player’s jerseys, shorts, socks, and advertising material.
24.3 Items classified as advertising material are:
24.4 VV may, at its sole discretion, direct all teams to wear certain forms of advertising material on their uniforms, in a specified manner. A player must not enter the court if they fail to wear specified sponsor identification as directed by VV.
24.5 During a match, all players must wear their Club's uniform which is registered with VV.
24.5.1 Clubs must provide two inclusive options for team shorts if requested. During a match, all players may choose to wear either option. A team may play in a mix of the two approved short options.
24.6 During a match, all players from each team must wear the approved identical playing jerseys (except the libero), shorts (except the libero), socks and advertising material.
24.6.1 Within State League competitions, players are permitted to wear shorts with a variation in style and logos for the first five rounds of the regular season.
24.7 Players are entitled to play with compression garments under their playing uniform however these must be all the same colour.
24.8 Player jerseys for all competitions must be numbered between 1 to 99 inclusive.
24.9 Player names on the back of the team jersey are optional. A team may play with a mixture of team jerseys with and without player names on the back. A player's actual name does not have to match the name on the back of their playing jersey.
24.10 Clubs, teams, and players are not permitted make temporary modifications to uniform/s. Temporary modifications include but are not limited to the use of tape or similar materials.
24.11 Any uniform infringements must be rectified, and the player must not participate in the match until the uniform infringement is rectified to the satisfaction of the first referee.
24.12 Before teams shake hands, all players participating in the match must be in full playing uniform.
