22.1 To be eligible for Finals, players must have participated in at least 50% of matches in any competition of Victorian Volleyball League during the regular season.
22.1.1 Finals series matches shall not be counted towards the number of matches the player participated in for the purposes of By Law 21.
22.2 Full time members of the Australian Volleyball team squads (Australian Players) who participate in two (2) or more Victorian Volleyball League regular season matches are eligible to play in the finals series in Premier League only.
22.3 Where a Club has multiple teams entered in the same competition, a player can only participate in one team in that competition during the finals series and is subject to restrictions set out in by-law 20.4.
22.3.1 If a player is eligible for the finals series and has participated in only one competition throughout the season (with the exemption of Youth State League) That player's competition will be classified as the lowest competition the player is eligible to participate in during the finals series.
22.4 If a player is eligible for the finals series and has participated in multiple competitions throughout the regular season (with the exemption of Youth State League):
22.4.1 The competition the player played the greatest number of matches within the regular season will be classified as the lowest competition that the player is eligible to participate in during the finals series.
22.4.1.1 If a player's greatest number of matches that they have participated in for a given competition is equal across numerous competitions, the player's lowest classified competition that they will be eligible for during the finals series will be the lowest competition level amongst the competitions equally participated in.
22.4.1.2 If a player has participated in more than two (2) competitions throughout the regular season, for the purposes of By-Law 22.5, the number of matches played will accumulate across each of the higher competitions that the player participated in. The higher competitions include all competitions above the lowest competition the player participated in during the regular season.
22.5 A player is eligible to participate in any competition higher than their classified lowest eligible competition for the finals series.
22.5.1 A player that participates in any competition higher than their classified lowest eligible competition in the finals series will be deemed as being promoted.
22.5.2 Where a player meets all eligibility requirements, that player is eligible for one demotion only during the finals series if:
22.5.2.1 For the purposes of By-Law 22.6 Volleyball Victoria reserves the right to define ‘round’ as it pertains to the finals series structure of each competition.
22.5.2.2 If a player has been demoted during the finals series, they are ineligible for a promotion.
22.5.2.3 All demotions are subject to By Law 20.
