15. Participant Registration

15.1 To be eligible participants must, prior to the scheduled start time of their first match, hold a valid 2024 gold membership with VV. Below is a guide as to the minimum membership type required for participants, including Youth State League:

• Coach – Technical Membership (non-playing)
• Player – Gold Membership (Adult or U21)
• Official - Technical Membership (non-playing)
• Team Staff – Technical Membership (non-playing)

15.2 Upon registration, participants are acknowledging and agreeing that they are bound by, including but not limited to, the rules, regulations, and decisions of VV including these By-Laws.

15.3 In addition to the membership requirements contained in By-Law 15.1, coaches, players, and team staff must also be registered member of the Club they are representing.

15.4 Prior to the beginning of each Victorian Volleyball League season VV shall nominate at its discretion the following:

• Details and procedures for participant membership and deadlines for that registration; and
• Fees for participant membership; and
• Details and procedures to determine which participants are registered.
   

15.5 A person that has never competed in any Victorian Volleyball League in Australia is not subject to By-Law 16 and may register with a Club at any time.

15.6 Any player wishing to compete in Victorian Volleyball League for any Club other than:

• the Club they are currently registered with; or
• the last Club they competed in Victorian Volleyball League with shall be required to complete a Financial Clearance or an Inter-Club Transfer as outlined in By-Law 16.
   

15.7 If a team has an unregistered coach, player, or team staff participating in a match the team shall be deemed incomplete and forfeit the match. The team shall also receive an Unregistered Player/Coach/ Team staff penalty outlined in Appendix B.

15.8 A team forfeiting a match under By-Law 15.6 shall have no right of appeal.

15.9 VV may, at its discretion and at any time, withdraw participants registration for non-payment of any debt to VV. Should this withdrawal occur, the relevant participant shall be considered unregistered for the purpose of these By-Laws the moment the withdrawal is made.
